Not an agency.
The person who
answers the phone.

I'm Keith Graber. I build websites and local search visibility for businesses around Washington, Indiana — and when you call, you get me, not an account manager reading from a script.

Washington, Indiana — and most of the counties around it.

I've been doing web design and digital marketing for about ten years. Long enough to have seen what works, what doesn't, and how much of what gets sold to small businesses is expensive, confusing, and built to keep you dependent.

Over those ten years I've worked across web development, IT, and marketing — including time doing marketing for a local trades business, which is where a lot of what I know about local search came from. You learn what actually moves a small business forward when you're accountable to one. I know what it's like when a slow site or a cold map pack isn't a metrics problem — it's a phone-not-ringing problem.

So I learned it. Not from a course — from building, breaking, and rebuilding my own site until the phone started ringing, then doing it for people I knew, then for people they sent. Somewhere in there it stopped being a side thing.

The other half of my background is technical. I do web development and IT work, which is why I code sites instead of assembling them in a page builder, and why the answer engine side of this business came naturally — it's structure and data, which is the part I actually enjoy.

What that adds up to: I know what it's like to be the person whose income depends on whether the phone rings this week. That's a different starting point than an agency that has only ever billed retainers, and it shows up in everything from how I quote to what I tell you not to spend money on.

Straight talk

What you'll hear from me that you won't hear elsewhere.

Not a swipe at anyone in particular. These are just the places where the standard pitch and the truth tend to part company.

The usual pitch What I'll actually tell you

“We'll guarantee you the number one spot on Google.”

Nobody can guarantee that, and anyone who does is either guessing or counting on you not checking.

“Everything runs on our proprietary platform.”

Your domain, hosting and site files are in your name from day one. If we part ways, you keep a site that keeps working.

“Sign here for twelve months.”

Month to month after the build. I'd rather you stay because it's working than because you're stuck.

“SEO is dead — AI killed it.”

Neither half is true. Models are grounded on the same web Google indexes, so the two reinforce each other. Anyone selling you one as a replacement for the other is selling.

“You'll have a dedicated account team.”

You'll have me. Same person who quoted the job, built it, and picks up when you call about it.

“You need the full package.”

Sometimes you need one afternoon of profile cleanup and nothing else. If that's the answer, I'll tell you, even though it's the smaller invoice.

Rather just talk it through?

How I work

Four things I hold to.

01

Plain language, always

If I can't explain what I'm doing and why it matters in words you'd use yourself, I don't understand it well enough to charge you for it. Jargon is usually a place someone is hiding.

02

Show the numbers

Rankings, map position, citations, calls. You get the real figures every month, including the months where something didn't move and I have to explain why.

03

Foundation before flourish

A fast, well-structured site first. There's no point buying visibility to send people to a page that loads slowly and doesn't tell them what to do next.

04

Slow to sell, quick to answer

I won't chase you or push a package you don't need. But once we're working together, you get answers the same day — not a ticket number.

Where I work

Local means local.

Most of this work happens remotely, so distance isn't really the limit — but knowing a place is worth something. I know which towns share a newspaper, which trades are busy in which season, and how far people around here will genuinely drive for a good contractor.

That local knowledge shapes real decisions: which towns get their own page, how wide to set a service area, and which nearby directories are actually worth being listed in. If you're outside the area and the fit is right, I'm glad to talk.

Let's have a straight conversation.

Tell me what's going on with your business and I'll tell you honestly whether I can help, what it would cost, and what I'd do first. If the answer is that you don't need me, I'll say that too.
